For all those people that are having dropped calls with their new iPhone 4‘s the AT&T Microcell is a cool way to increase reception in your home. It connects to your home wireless network via ethernet after setting it up with your existing account online. It will improve the signal of a phone you specify within your own home. Here are a few steps to get it done:
1. Access the registration page for your account, then browse to att.com/3gmirocell the click Activate link located in the For Your Home box.
2. Enter the username and password of the AT&T My wireless Account associated with your MicroCell and click Login, take note that if an account doesn’t exist, click register to create one.
3. Read the AT&T 3G MicroCell Terms & Conditions and click Accept, then accept the End user licensing agreement and click accept.
4. Enter the device’s serial number which is located under the feet of the device and consists of 16 alpha numeric characters and one dash. this is an example

5.Then Click Next, then verify the MicroCell User and Device Location is correct then click Next.
6. Add and remove numbers to the Approved User list for the phones that you want to access the MicroCell. To add a number click Add New AT&T Number, then enter your cell phone number and name, and click save.
7. Make sure to double check the Set Up info then click Submit.
8. Follow the Activation Process leaflet provided in the box with he device. For example if you have a Cable or DSL modem connected to a router, power cycle them by unplugging the power from both the modem and router wait for 30 seconds.
9. Plug the Cable/DSL modem in, wait for 30 more seconds, plug in the router, wait another 30 sec, then connect the provided ethernet cable to the router and then plug in the power cable into the MicroCell.
10. It may take up to 60 minutes for all lights to go solid- power, AT&T signal light, and the Wireless light. Note that the Wireless light may rapidly blink which indicates that it is in process setting up the MicroCell.
11. Once the lights go solid check the phone/s that you added to the account and where you would normally see 3G you should see 3G MicroCell in this place. If this process doesn’t yield the desired result contact Customer Care with the provided number in the leaflet.
